Name: Whitestar
Rank: Leader
Gender: Tom
Age: 37moons
Affiliation: Cloudclan
Mentor/Apprentice: None/Open
Kin: Orangefang, father, deceased Shadowclaw, mother, deceased, Roseclaw, sister, deceased
Mate: Open
Appearance: Black with white paws belly and face-stripe. He has amber eyes that are filled with fire when he is angry, yet peaceful and bright when he is calm. He is a decently skinny cat, yet well filled out with muscles. His back legs are extremely strong from seasons of jumping into the trees and catching squirrels. His face is split in half by a white stripe that runs from his forehead to his neck that gets wider around the muzzle. All four of his paws are white that run up his legs to mid-way up the calf. He is quite tall and his tail is tipped in white. His left front shoulder has a large scare stretching from a little ways above the elbow to half an inch from his chest, from the fight with his mom. On his right fore-paw is a odd scar from a hunting accident when he was still just an apprentice.
Personality: Cares for his clan, fiercely loyal to both his clan and the warrior code, but is willing to break in extreme cases. However in his fiercest moments he tends to be rash and quick to act. He is fiercely dedicated however to undo the vicious and cruel things that his mother did that led to the basic tearing apart of the clan. In his struggle to banish these thoughts from the minds of the current clan cats who witnessed this, he tends to make foolish decisions just to make them think different of him. However it is in these foolish moments that he tends to make his greatest choices and lead, by working hard to fix his mistakes and better the clan. Over-all however, he leads and lives a peaceful life, preferring to stray from the life of battle to show that unlike his mother he can make decisions to better the clan instead of end it. But in the times to come he will be tested to the farthest extremes of both his conscience and his body. He might well be torn apart by the thought of either betraying his clan or betraying the warrior code, and even worse the thought of becoming someone like his mother, or worse.
History: He was born to two of the highest ranking Senior Warriors, Orangefang and Shadowclaw. He was blessed with the skills of them, but it would cost him more than he ever thought imaginable. not long after he had become a warrior he was given an apprentice, Rosepaw, who he trained long and hard with. It was this apprentice who first started the horrible things to come from his family. Before she became a warrior she had mysteriously vanished, Whitestripe blamed himself for not warning her better not to run off, but little did he know that is was actually his mother who was at fault.
For moons Whitestripe searched for the reason for the cats mysterious disappearance, but without avail. However during the moons up to leaf-bare several more cats went missing, all of which had been on a hunting patrol with his mother, and finally Whitestripe had found the reason for the disappearances. His mother in her lust for power was committing them.
During a long Leaf-bare she decided to destroy the clan's leader and replace it with her. In her lust for power she ended up killing her mate and daughter. When at last she came to the leader's den she found that her son had already reached it and warned the leader, she fought but lost at last to her own son.
After this battle the leader was left without a deputy, and after his actions in the den Whitestripe was an obvious choice for it. However his deputy-ship was short lived for not that far from New-leaf the leader fell terribly ill from Greencough, it was too much for him and he eventually died. Whitestripe took over the position and became Whitestar leader of Cloudclan. However his leadership was fraught with trouble for the first few moons, several more disappearances and his own deputy turned against him, the cause for these disappearances, he was one of the cats that had followed Shadowclaw and was now trying to finish the job. In one final battle between the Whitestripe and his deputy he lost a life and the spirit of his mother forever.
Roleplay Sample: Warm sunlight filled his den as Whitestar slept in the impression at the back of the sandy hollow within the log. The lichen that covered the entrance swayed lightly in the early morning breeze as Whitestar finally awoke. Rising slowly from his nest he stretched before padding across the den to the lichen. Nosing his way through he made his way into the camp.
He sniffed the air slightly before making his way across the clearing to the fresh-kill pile. It was still early and only the dawn patrol stirred as they made their way out of the camp. "Good hunting," he said as he starred at the large pile of prey before taking a vole from the top. Grasping it in his jaws he made his way over to a small patch of ferns outside of his den that had been used for seasons as a feasting place for leaders.
Finishing off the vole he stood and placed his paw in a pawstep that had been pressed into the ground outside the den, "Once proud leaders of Cloudclan, guide me in the moons to come and through this New-leaf.
