As could probably be expected, the Clan and Tribe have several major differences.
CloudClan
CloudClan cats are for the most part leaner, faster, and better suited to the open land and hills, having gained their name from their territory of many years, which they say is as wide and open as the sky, and high enough to touch the clouds. Their agility, speed, and endurance are usually superior to Tribe cats', and though they have significant patches of forest in the lower areas of their territory, most prefer not to hunt there, although they are trained to. They have also learned to swim in their large pond, and hunt around it. Having been isolated as long as anyone can remember, they are a proud Clan without many fears or worries. Their fighting skills are not as well developed, as badgers, foxes, and rogues do not appear often, but all cats receive a fair amount of training, in case something ever happens.
CloudClan hunts fish, rabbits, mice, voles, shrews, and small birds, and occasionally squirrel.
Tribe of Gusting Wind
Tribe cats, on the other hand, are more powerfully built, with increased strength, climbing ability, and jump power. They are also more thick-furred to protect them from their old mountain home's cold. Their claws are a bit blunted from scrabbling on rock, but their fighting skills are just as good, if not better, than CloudClan's, despite having been just as isolated. They can not, however, swim. The Tribe's territory is more hilly and has fewer trees, but they are used to test the climbing and strength that the Tribe still values. The Tribe believes in the Tribe of Endless Hunting instead of StarClan, and the problem of finding a place to communicate with them is weighing heavily on them.
They also have a different ranking system. Kits, kit-mothers, elders, and to-bes are pretty much the same as the Clan's kits, queens, elders, and apprentices, respectively. But they split the warriors' duties between prey-hunters and cave-guards, whose jobs are decided at birth, based on appearance. The Healer acts as leader and medicine cat together, and only trains his or her to-be (also recognized at birth) to succeed their mentor.
Their diet is mostly the same as CloudClan's, but with no squirrels or fish - rabbits, mice, voles, shrews, small birds, and frogs for the adventurous.
