Name: Aki
Rank:Kittypet
Gender:She-cat
Age: 17months
Affiliation: She lives in a home on the edge of Cloudclan's territory...?
Kin: Copper, Brother (unknown location); Mother/Father (Unknown location)
Mate: None
Appearance:
Aki means Autumn in Japanese, and Autumn is a time of beautiful tree's leaves changing colour, and the weather cooling down. Aki's fur is in between long and short. It can get easily matted, but she takes great care of that. Her tail isn't as fluffy as the rest of her, but it doesn't look odd. Other than that, her soft fur is quite shiny after groomed.
The colouring on her is where she got her name. A medium brown, with tints of Orange and Red. Inside, it appears just plain brown, but outside, in the sun, you can find hints of Red in some places, and hints of Orange in others. Her fur does not have any stripes, splotches, dapples, or any other pattern visible.
Her whiskers are long and white, above her eyes and on her muzzle, just like any other cat. Her muzzle is average, not scrunched in her face, but not very long. Her eyes are a bit more rounded than an almond, and are golden-orange, but with a brown ring around the pupil. Small paws manage to take her to great speed, and her tail helps her balance upon fences as she often does. Because of being a kittypet, she has a maroon collar loose around her neck, just with some metal tag on it with marks on it Aki cannot understand. It doesn't interfere much with her hunting or stalking, there is no bell to ruin her stealth.
She does get fed well, but somehow she's not as plump as a regular kittypet would be. Her legs are very long, and so is her body (in length), her neck (just a bit longer than any average cat), and her tail. She does have a lot of leg muscle, allowing her to jump to great heights.
Personality:
Aki likes her housefolk, they don't force her to do things she does not want to, they feed her twice a day (although she usually hunts outside the little backyard garden), and they let her outside and past the wooden fence they have. She enjoys her freedom, and likes to talk to her friends she sees on her way deeper into the unknown territory. But she does not like the collar around her neck much. It does sometime annoy her when she gets pieces on grass stuck in it and she must strain her neck trying to pull them out. Also, she dislikes the birds that come and try eating her housefolk's garden. They depend on her to take care of the birds, and she always scares them off.
This tall cat is quite the social one. She talks to her friends, and even meows at her housefolk, even if she doesn't need something. If she's hunting, when she pounces, usually she lets out a quite meow. She is one who has to know what happened to the cat next door's half of a tail. She loves being informed on everything, and likes to know what's going on around her. Aki likes taking strolls with her friends down to where the farm and say hello to the barn cats, watch the chickens and their babies, and watch the cows and other farm animals eat. She does sometimes wish she could live at the barn, there are plenty of rodents scurrying around there.
Her skills, you ask? Aki is very fast, her long legs cover a lot of ground when she's running, and her slender shape makes it easier for her legs to carry her. She has gotten into a few small fights, and held her ground easily. She loves the thrill of fighting, but isn't the best at it. She's good enough to keep the fight going and the defend herself. Hunting, she's somewhat good at as well. She likes showing off to the barn cats how she can catch mice. She is a bit of a loud mouth. One of her weaknesses is about her bragging. She has and can get into loads of trouble by speaking out, or making sarcastic comments, or even insulting another for getting her angry. She does have quite a temper, so I'd be careful.
History:
Aki was born in a barn, and the farmers had sold her and her brother to a house of loving twolegs. But, when Aki was about 2 months, the twolegs sold her to where she is now, but kept her brother, Copper. Her new housefolk took her in without hesitation, and looked after the small kitten carefully. She grew up a normal life, nothing very interesting happened. The started to let her go outside at 4 months, she appeared able to take care of herself. The first time she went outside, Aki sniffed around cautiously, not sure of what to make of the outdoors. After a week she would stalk bugs in the garden, chase birds, settle on the grass in the sun, and talk to other cats on the fence. She left the saftey of her backyard when she was 6 moons, and stepped outside of the garden. One of her closest friends showed her around, like the barn, where ponds are, how to catch fish, and many more exciting things. Sometimes they would go to the barn and play chase with the other barn cats, and Aki was always a master at that game, no one could ever catch her. During her first winter, Aki was terrorfied of snow, and hated walking in it. But, she got used to it. One of her most favourite memories of winter was being inside by the fireplace curled up and falling asleep in front of the dancing tongues of the warm fire. Her kithood was safe and easy.
